On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, the successful collaboration of the IRIXYS network was formally renewed and contractually sealed at the University of Passau. Five universities are now affiliated with this international cooperation, which originated from the collaboration between the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA) in Lyon, the University of Passau, and the Università degli Studi di Milano (Italy). At the invitation of co-founder Prof. Dr. Dr. Harald Kosch, the Deggendorf Institute of Technology was able to join the network.
The president of INSA Lyon, Director Prof. Dr. Frédéric Fotiadu, traveled to Passau for a meeting with University President Prof. Dr. Ulrich Bartosch and Vice President Prof. Dr. Harald Kosch. This visit provided an opportunity to sign a joint agreement with the Vice President for Academic Structures and IT at TH Deggendorf, Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Dorner, which was sealed in the presence of Professor Kosch, members of the university management, and representatives of the member universities.
The network now includes the following members: the University of Passau, Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA), Università degli Studi di Milano, Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca, and, as a new member, the Deggendorf Institute of Technology (THD).
“This network is particularly fruitful evidence of Vice President Kosch’s tireless commitment to international cooperation. It is a great contribution to the German-French bridge between Lyon and Passau,” said University President Prof. Dr. Ulrich Bartosch at the signing ceremony.
“The visit of Prof. Dr. Frédéric Fotiadu from INSA Lyon to Passau marks a joyful milestone in our German-French university cooperation – a meeting that was characterized by mutual trust and a shared vision of the future,” added Vice President Prof. Dr. Harald Kosch.

Mardi 28 octobre 2025, la collaboration du réseau IRIXYS a été officiellement renouvelée et scellée par contrat à l’université de Passau. Cinq universités sont désormais affiliées à cette coopération internationale, née de la collaboration entre l’Institut national des sciences appliquées (INSA) de Lyon, l’université de Passau et l’Università degli Studi di Milano (Italie). À l’invitation du cofondateur, le Prof. Dr Dr Harald Kosch, l’Institut de technologie de Deggendorf a pu rejoindre le réseau.
Le président de l’INSA Lyon, le professeur Frédéric Fotiadu, s’est rendu à Passau pour rencontrer le Professeur Ulrich Bartosch, président de l’université, et le vice-président, le professeur Harald Kosch. Cette visite a été l’occasion de signer un accord commun avec le vice-président chargé des structures académiques et des technologies de l’information à la TH Deggendorf, le professeur Wolfgang Dorner, en présence du professeur Kosch, des membres de la direction de l’université et des représentants des universités membres.
Le réseau comprend désormais les membres suivants : l’université de Passau, l’Institut national des sciences appliquées (INSA), l’Università degli Studi di Milano, l’Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca et, en tant que nouveau membre, l’Institut de technologie de Deggendorf (THD).
« Ce réseau est une preuve particulièrement fructueuse de l’engagement sans faille du vice-président Kosch en faveur de la coopération internationale. Il contribue grandement au rapprochement franco-allemand entre Lyon et Passau », a déclaré le président de l’université, le professeur Ulrich Bartosch, lors de la cérémonie de signature.
« La visite du professeur Frédéric Fotiadu de l’INSA Lyon à Passau marque une étape importante dans notre coopération universitaire franco-allemande, une rencontre caractérisée par une confiance mutuelle et une vision commune de l’avenir », a ajouté le vice-président, le professeur Harald Kosch.
