DIMIS Distributed Multimedia Information Systems and the chair of Data Science - Universität Passau
The Passau University Faculty of Computer Science and Mathematics has more than 100 permanent researchers and is a prominent computer science Faculty in Germany. Within this structure, the Distributed Multimedia Information Systems (DIMIS) team headed by Prof. Harald Kosch and the Data Science team headed by Prof. Michael Granitzer are at the forefront of IRIXYS.
Research interests: distributed information systems, machine learning, Big Data, Data analysis and mining, pattern recognition, language and knowledge technologies, pervasive and mobile information systems and multimedia engineering, discovery in media, interactive information retrieval, visual analytics, collective intelligence.
Application fields: multimedia, e-health, e-humanities and cultural heritage
